Health Sensors & IoT: The Digital Foundation we Need to deliver Wellness as a Service
Pierre-Alexandre Fournier Hexoskin
In 2006 we started Hexoskin as a “machine learning for health” company, then realized automated health intelligence will only be possible once we build the data infrastructure to feed the algorithms. Our wearable health sensors (smart clothing and other devices) are part of the answer to the question: how do you get the data you need to deliver Wellness as a Service?
We’ll present our solutions for clinical-grade health monitoring and how they change the way medicine is practiced in a series of domains: cardiology, respiratory diseases and sleep disorders. We’ll explain how collecting data on the whole health spectrum is essential to build predictive models for healthcare and wellness.
We’ll also describe the current struggles to access health data, and will provide a roadmap to do big data and artificial intelligence to optimize health outcomes: in other words, deliver Wellness as a Service for those who need it the most first, and then to everyone.
